Greetings! My name is Curt Shacklett, and welcome to my blog! I trust the pensees (thoughts) you find here will be helpful to you as you ponder what it means…a few ways it should look…and how you might personally grow…to serve the Lord Jesus Christ more faithfully and fully as His bondservant!
As for a brief background regarding my journey…I graduated from the University of Tulsa, where I met and married my sweetheart Marion, an immigrant from Canada. After college, we served for several years with Cru (formerly known as Campus Crusade for Christ) as part of the campus ministry to students at Vanderbilt University and other colleges in Tennessee. For four years, following, I taught learning disabled teenagers in a private specialized residential school in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Finally, I returned to my alma mater to obtain a law degree and have been in the private practice of law with a law firm in Tulsa for over 40 years.
We have two adult sons Jon, and Jay. We are also blessed to enjoy a granddaughter and grandson who live with their parents in Panama City, Panama. I served as an elder and frequent teacher in a local church for many years. My wife and I enjoy providing pre and post marriage coaching as well as personal life coaching to people of all ages and backgrounds, and we currently serve and worship at First Baptist Church of Tulsa.
I look forward to hearing from any and all of you who venture to this site and who are interested in dialoguing with me about the rewarding and challenging principles and practices related to bondservanthood. I am happy to share what I have learned and am equally eager to hear your insights as well! Blessings in Him!
